TUNE IN: GRANGER SMITH JOINS CMT’S HOT 20 VIDEO OF THE YEAR COUNTDOWN SPECIAL FROM ALASKA (12/15 & 12/29)

They Were There: A Hero’s Documentary & Original Soundtrack Out Now

Following the eagerly-awaited arrival of They Were There: A Hero’s Documentary (garnering over 100k views since its launch, while also spawning a 99% jolt in sales for current single “You’re In It”), prolific Wheelhouse Records chart-topper Granger Smith and CMT teamed up with the USO for CMT’s Hot 20 Video of the Year Countdown special premiering this Saturday, December 15 at 9am ET/8am CT with an encore on Sunday, December 16. The show will re-air on Saturday, December 29 and Sunday, December 30 at 9am ET/8am CT.

Coinciding with the release of the documentary and soundtrack on November 30, Granger, along with CMT and the USO traveled 4,000 miles to the military base in Anchorage, Alaska to offer deep gratitude to the servicemen and women in person this holiday season, while also jumping feet first into a powerful and adventurous two days. The whirlwind journey was bookended by a rollicking performance from Granger, captured by CMT.

In related news, Granger surprised his legion of fans, known as “Yee Yee Nation,” last Friday (12/7) with an official music video for title track “They Were There.” Featuring “stunning landscape shots” (Taste of Country) and a captivating full-band performance, watch his latest music video HERE.

Showing no signs of slowing down with “a career that is hotter than ever” (Billboard), the hitmaker continues to evolve into exciting new territory. Granger recently released his first-ever book If You’re City, If You’re Country, which immediately hit No. 1 on Amazon best-selling lists, while also consistently releasing episodes of his No. 1 charting podcast the “Granger Smith Podcast.” His current single “You’re In It” has entered the Top 35 Country radio and he is slated as direct support on Kane Brown’s 2019 Live Forever Tour.
