MORE ABOUT JOSIE’S BIRTHDAY BASH:
The 2010 Josie’s Birthday Bash is an annual charity concert to benefit children living
with Cystic Fibrosis. It began last year with a simple goal to help a small child in need. Keifer and Shawna Thompson, the husband-and-wife duo of Thompson Square, learned about a close friends granddaughter who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Little Josephine had been sick with pneumonia and hospitalized twice before testing was even suggested for the disease. Her first diagnosis was asthma. One week before her second birthday, Josephine was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. This chronic disease affects the lungs and digestive systems of about 30,000 children and adults in the Unites States.

After hearing of the struggles little Josephine and her family had to overcome, Keifer and Shawna Thompson wanted to do something to help. For Josie’s birthday, they reached out to their friends in the music community to help make a difference in this small child’s life. Soon after, The 1st Annual Josie’s Birthday Bash was born and was a huge success.
