RUNAWAY JUNE BREAKS TOP 10 ON MEDIABASE COUNTRY CHART

Anthemic Trio Continues Historic Run

RUNAWAY JUNE’s Buy My Own Drinks” furthers its historical run by breaking into the Top 10 on the Mediabase Country chart. The past week has been extremely momentous for the band, to say the least. While breaking Country chart records for being the first Top 10 radio single by a Country female band or trio in 14 years, they have also appeared in Billboard’s Chartbreakers and on Good Morning America. As Music Row Magazine deems this single a “runaway hit,” others have also praised this anthem “one big girl party celebrating independent women” (Taste of Country).

Billboard released its Chartbreakers edition this week, with the feature article detailing the history on how these three powerhouse females joined together as “Runaway June.” The bandmates all provide detailed memories on how they came together and how although they are individually fiercely independent, they have come together and bond over the same vision.

Not only did they make history and appear in the illustrious Billboard Chartbreakers feature, they also appeared on GMA on the Nashville tour bus Music City Rollin’ Jamboree. They, along with GMA, surprised guests on the bus, while taking people around to sight-see, story tell, and hear Nashville’s lore of Country music.

Since Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne formed four years ago, Runaway June has become an ACM and CMT nominated band, been named CMT’s “Next Women of Country,” scored major tours and opening slots with some of the biggest names and icons in music (including Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood), performed on national TV including the CMA Awards, ACM Awards, CMT Awards and TODAY, and received high praise and raves from dozens of critical outlets, all while constantly digging deeper to fill out a sound that connects them to the tradition of Country music and its devoted fans.

Runaway June’s long-awaited debut album, Blue Roses was recently released on June 28, 2019 via Wheelhouse Records and was produced by Dann Huff. They are also on the road through the fall, supporting seven-time Grammy winner and Pollstar’s three-time top female Country touring artist Carrie Underwood on the Cry Pretty Tour 360. Sponsored by CALIA, the tour kicked off on May 1 in Greensboro, NC, and will play 55 arenas across the U.S. and Canada promoted by AEG Presents. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased here.
