NASHVILLE, TN – Rising star Lindsay Ell realized a life-long dream recently when she stepped into Country music’s hallowed circle, marking the 25-year-old Calgary native’s Grand Ole Opry debut.

The Stoney Creek Records artist performed her critically-lauded debut single “Trippin’ On Us” in front of a sold-out crowd and on a bill that also included Country stars Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer and Nashville’s Sam Palladio, among others.  Ell performed three songs total, showing off her musical prowess with performances on both electric and acoustic guitar.

Along with her debut single and fan favorite “Don’t Take Me Home,” Ell mesmerized the Opry crowd with a sixty-second acoustic pickin’ and tapping intro to her song “Not Another You,” written for Ell’s friend in Canada who suffers from muscular dystrophy.

Ell makes her debut on the famous Ryman Auditorium stage when she performs as part of Opry Country Classics on May 8th.

ABOUT LINDSAY ELL:

Lindsay Ell is a triple threat:  accomplished musician, unique vocalist and songwriter.  The 25-year-old Calgary native learned to play guitar while traveling with her father to country-bluegrass camps as a young girl.  Ell honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman” / “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13.  The multi-instrumentalist was soon opening for the likes of Buddy Guy and Keith Urban. Most recently, Ell travelled the globe as the opening act for The Band Perry’s “We Are Pioneers” World Tour (50 dates across 12 countries). Ell has been called “a true triple threat” by Guitar World; “a star in the making” by Taste of Country and “a distinct figure in the modern country recording camp” by Country Weekly.   Ell’s debut single, “Trippin’ On Us, was Most Added upon its debut, and she is currently in the studio recording her debut album.
