JIMMIE ALLEN DEBUT ALBUM, MERCURY LANE RELEASED TODAY

Country music’s “Artist to Watch” Returns to NBC’s TODAY for Encore Appearance Week After Making National TV Debut

Jimmie Allen’s hotly-anticipated debut album, Mercury Lane, released today is available everywhere now via Stoney Creek Records / BBR Music Group. In support of his first full-length project, Allen appeared on NBC’s TODAY this week to perform his debut single “Best Shot” which with more than 46 million streams, has become the #1 Most Shazamed song in Country music. After a stellar performance of his Top 10 (and climbing) hit, Allen was asked to return to the show a mere eight days later and will appear again alongside Kathie Lee and Hoda on October 17th (check your local listing for more details).

In celebration of Mercury Lane, the buzzed-about newcomer will take the East Coast by storm with a series of appearances in his home state of Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Maryland (full details can be found below) before jetting off to the UK alongside labelmate, Chase Rice on the Lambs & Lions UK Tour. In addition to multiple media stops in the Big Apple, Jimmie will also visit a local high school in support of Little Kids Rock and their mission to further music education.

“Life on Mercury Lane shaped me into the dreamer, the believer of love, the hard worker and chance taker that I am today and I credit those values and ideals that were instilled in me by my family and life in Milton, for helping me make this dream come true,” said Jimmie Allen. “It feels like everything is happening all at once and it’s an incredible feeling to be able to share this with everybody—it makes me even more motivated to keep grinding and give my everything to music.”

Mercury Lane, named for the street he grew up on, is Allen’s first full-length album which pays tribute to the origin of his incredible story of perseverance, as depicted in his docu-series “Jimmie Allen All In.” Drawing upon the influence his family and small-town upbringing, the critically-acclaimed rising star shows off the many facets of his personality from the introspective “All Tractors Ain’t Green” to the fun, bouncy, bubbly “County Lines.” Teaming up once again with Ash Bowers and Eric Torres, (who also produced Jimmie’s debut EP), Mercury Lane delivers the same infectious groove that struck fans near immediately.

The project comes nearly one year to the day after Allen quietly dropped his self-titled EP which earned him recognition on a slew of “Artist to Watch” titles and incredible fan reactions on digital. Continuing to service fans with new music throughout the year, Allen shared one brand-new track each month as a collection of songs he calls the “Slower Lower Sessions.” Also, even with a brand-new album coming out a week later, on October 5, Allen released a cover of Michael Jackson’s famous Will You Be Thereas a partnership with Spotify and Starbucks. The countryfied cover can be heard exclusively on Spotify, on the “Nation of US” playlist on the Starbucks app as well as in-store at Starbucks 8,500 locations across the United States.
