Making it a summer to remember, BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records’ rowdy outliers LOCASH alongside The Beach Boys’ Mike Love and Bruce Johnston introduced their chart-rising single, “Beach Boys,” during the sunny national television debut yesterday (8/2) on ABC’s Good Morning America. Bringing the beach to New York City’s Times Square, the supergroup also doubled up their anticipated appearance with a lively in-studio sing-along of The Beach Boys’ classic “Kokomo” on GMA3: What You Need to Know.
Sailing on the iTunes charts immediately after airing, “Beach Boys” hit No. 5 in Country Songs and No. 16 All Genres Songs. They’ve “tapped into a good vibration” claims MusicRow, as the fun-in-the-sun anthem has tallied 4.56 MILLION global streams to date. With American Songwriter praising LOCASH for “hitting homers and serving up first-class songs,” E! News further hails that “Beach Boys” is “making waves.”
Dubbed “country music’s iconic feel-good duo” by PEOPLE, LOCASH will next bring their “summer smash hit” (Good Morning America) to the stage as a special guest of The Beach Boys for their “Sixty Years of the Sounds of Summer” tour date at the iconic Greek Theatre in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday (8/7). The performance also features previously announced special guest John Stamos. Following headline-making pop-ups by LOCASH and The Beach Boys at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA, and Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, fans can find tickets here.
