NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 15, 2016) – Red Bow Records’ artist Craig Campbell joined USO’s star-studded holiday tour, led by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., as part of the organization’s 75th anniversary celebration. The six-day, four-country USO tour included stops in Turkey, Qatar, Afghanistan and Germany with special guests Tony Award-winning actress/four-time Golden Globe nominee and USO tour veteran Scarlett Johansson, actor/filmmaker Chris Evans, ten-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Ray Allen, four-time Olympic medalist in swimming Maya DiRado, and renowned mentalist/entertainer Jim Karol.

“I had a great time visiting and performing for our nation’s service members and military families just a few months ago with the USO,” said Campbell. “I am so honored that General Dunford invited me on this incredibly important tour. It really means a lot to have the opportunity to give back to those who give so much and to bring a little piece of home to them during the holidays.”

Exclusively premiering on People.com, Campbell enlisted the help of Johansson to sing Nancy Sinatra’s hit “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’” with him in Afghanistan as part of his #WCW (Woman Cover Wednesday) online series. #WCW videos can be found across Campbell’s social media platforms or here. Campbell is encouraging viewers to please join him, alongside Johansson and the USO, in being a Force Behind the Forces and help the USO send 1.4 million messages of support to service members around the world by year’s end. Campbell made his NBC TODAY debut earlier this year with “Outskirts of Heaven” (Campbell, Dave Turnbull). The powerful song has clearly touched the hearts of fans, receiving such emotional reviews as “brought me to tears,” “gave me chills,” and further claiming “this is what country music is supposed to sound like.”

Following 2015’s “Tomorrow Tonight,” Campbell has been in the studio working on his RED BOW Records debut album. Previously sharing the stage with Randy Houser, Alan Jackson, The Band Perry, Jerrod Niemann, and Justin Moore, he is currently playing shows nationwide

ABOUT CRAIG CAMPBELL:

Campbell launched on to the country music scene with the release of his self-titled debut album (2011) delivering the hits “Family Man,” “Fish,” and “When I Get It.” To date, he has logged five consecutive charted hits with over a billion radio airplay audience impressions and over a half million downloads. Acclaimed as one of the genre’s most neo-traditionalist singers, his Top 15 breakout debut “Family Man” was featured on HBO’s True Blood and fan-favorite “Fish” has tallied nearly 400,000 digital copies sold. Campbell earned his first Top 10 smash with the infectious “Keep Them Kisses Comin’” from his sophomore album NEVER REGRET (2013). The gifted songwriter co-wrote Garth Brooks “All American Kid” off of MAN AGAINST THE MACHINE. Prior to landing his first record deal, the Lyons, GA native spent time on the road playing keyboard for both Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan – shows that inspired him nightly. He was soon discovered while playing a regular gig at the downtown Nashville honky-tonk, The Stage.
